EXCLUSIVE: “Money Shots” & “Perversion For Profit” Details!

October 3rd @ 4:58 pm | | Scooped by Brad & Chris

  • Last time, we ran a story on a new IMDB entry titled “Perversion for Profit” that looked to be a new documentary on the making of “Zack and Miri Make a Porno”. Today, we can confirm, that is indeed TRUE and will be the title, and that the documentary is indeed being made. This full, FEATURE LENGTH (think “Snowball Effect”) documentary is being once again sculpted by the great Zak and Joey of Chop Shop Entertainment. It will be featured as a FREE EXTRA when you buy the “Zack And Miri” DVD - How cool is that? At least, that’s the plan right now. It’s going to cover everything from the very origins of the movie, through the entire making of process, and all the way up through the film’s release (so yep, components are still being filmed). Expect interviews with the entire cast, tons of footage from the set, details on the MPAA NC-17 saga, and tons more. This will be a gem on that DVD, and something to certainly look forward to. Remember, View Askew has and will always be the undisputed king of the packed DVD!

So, you’re wondering where that leaves us with the “Money Shots” web shorts, right? Well, word has it that there’s some new MPAA laws out there, and much like that very first promotional video that went out for the film, the MPAA needs to take a look at all webisodes for the film before they can hit the web. And, as you can imagine, due to not thinking there were boundaries at the same, some of those will now need to be re-edited and one will not come up at all. The current plan is, once they have all been re-edited and cleared, to roll them out at a quick pace, perhaps even once a day, leading up to the movie. Nothing has yet been finalized, but that’s what we’re hearing right now.

Once these are available, we’ll be sure to let you know here at News Askew — They will be a Quick Stop Entertainment exclusive product. And, rest assured - ALL webisodes will be presented uncut in their original form on the DVD when it hits in 2009. Count on it.
