Zack & Miri Screening Went “Great”!

  • Well the first public test screening of Zack & Miri Make A Porno was held last night somewhere in Kansas City and from all accounts it was a great success! Kevin had some time after the screening to stop by The Board to give everyone a recap of what happened. Check out what he said right here…

      Well… that went great.

      Kansas City was very good to us tonight. Great score in the top two boxes (”Excellent” and “Very Good”), great “Definite Recommend” score (way above the “norm” score), laughter from end-to-end. Oddly, not a single person rated the movie “Poor” (out of the choices Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor); odd because we usually get at least one or two Poor votes. Not this time. Only two “Fair”, too. The rest were Excellent, Very Good, and Good (with the biggest number being “Excellent”).

      Now having watched the flick with an audience, I found some time I wanna take out. Not whole scenes, mind you; just trims within scenes. I can probably get another five to ten minutes out of the flick without hurting the story or anybody’s performance.

      *sigh* (of relief)


    And we can’t forget to mention the SPOLIER HEAVY, VERY POSITIVE review that showed up on Ain’t It Cool News this morning. We would suggest skipping that review if you want a pure experience with the film this October.

    Great. I appreciate the vulgarity in all KS’s movies. David Milch, creator of Deadwood wrote,

    “Profanity, I’ve come to believe, was the lingua franca of the time and place, which is to say that anyone, no matter what his or her background, could connect with almost anyone else on the frontier through the use of profanity.”
