- SModcsat is listed as NUMBER TWO in the UK’s ‘Radio Times - The Good Podcast Guide’. We couldn’t agree more with what they have to say:
-
The funniest conversational podcast ever. And probably one of the most profane bits of audio on your iPod. Swearing is not big and is not clever - except when it’s done by Scott Mosier and Kevin Smith (creator of Clerks). Whether they’re talking about childbirth, pets or Portakabins, you can rely on them to deliver irreverence in slumped-on-the-couch voices.
- Marilyn Ghigliotti (”Clerks”) and her theater group have a new production on the way, starting September 14th at The Raven Playhouse in North Hollywood. The ad right here has full details including reservations, pricing, showtimes, and more. Marilyn is always very kind to her View Askew fans and would love to see some of you in the audience! For more details, see the official site of The Vagabond Players.
- We wanna toss some pluggage out here — This past Tuesday on August 21st, “The Dark Backward, 15th Anniversary Special Edition” DVD came out. The film was writen and directed by Adam Rifkim who also co-wrote the “Underdog” movie, and also wrote and directed the upcomming movie, “National Lampoon’s Homo Erectus” starring David Carradine and Ali Larter. “Dark Backward” stars Judd Nelson and Bill Paxton. View Askew’s own Mattt Potter helped produce and edit the bonus features on the DVD, and Askew fan song composer Thaahum contributed a song to the DVD, called “Catch My Dreams,” which Potter cut a short/clip complilation to. Check out a review. The flick’s one of the weirder cult flicks of our time, and worth a watch if you’re into offbeat stuff. Catch ya next time!
