- Just a quick word, folks, since it’s been a while. Vulgarthon 2002 seems to be the big talk at the moment, with things coming together rather quickly. It’s going to be another mad rush to get tickets, so we wish all of you luck when they go on sale. If you just keep redialing and try hard, you should be alright. With 2 tickets being sold per person, and just over 400 seats total, you have to remember it’s possible that only slightly over 200 callers will get through. We’ll keep you posted on the event and more (see the top story below).
Other than that, winter’s coming which means less time outside and more time in front of the tube. Good thing, too, as it seems that television has taken a leap over most movies coming out lately. Shows like Buffy, Angel, Alias, Ed, Smallville and Law & Order have been providing some very entertaining network TV. Then HBO’s got their big shows coming up, with new Oz and Sopranos in the coming months, Band of Brothers has also been decent. It’s nice to watch some good TV and take a break from all the current events on CNN and the internet.
Flicks have been, for the most part, lackluster. It’s a mystery why Jay & Bob didn’t make more bread at the box office, with such total crap coming out surrounding it. Speaking of which, 13 Ghosts, opening this weekend, which first looked promising, is rumored to be AWFUL. Too bad. Guess this Halloween it’ll be time to spin up some classic Argento DVDs or the like again. Speaking of which, the trick or treat thing happens TONIGHT in this area, how weird is that? Always seemed that Halloween used to happen ON HALLOWEEN years ago. Ah well, less candy around the house to eat this way once the kids come take it all.
Okay, on with the show…
